When I'm not writing books, I'm probably tutoring, rescuing animals, or crafting...which also helps rescue animals, since I all profits generated from Etsy and local vendor markets are donated to charity.
I'd love to connect! Information about each project, rescue animal, and endeavor can be found through my social media platforms.

I wrote my first book when I was eight years old. Since then, I've been thoroughly addicted since to all things literary! Seriously, I am obsessed with the written word. My universe and lifestyle are basically Nerd Utopia.
Every aspect of written communication fascinates me, from reading (various genres) to writing short stories, poems, songs, full-length novels, articles, and web content. Unsurprisingly, my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree (Political Science, BA'07, from The University of Florida and Social Work, MSW '22, from The University of Texas at Arlington) were both in writing-heavy fields. In the world of academia, as in every other realm I can think of, I welcome lengthy assignments and reports. I'm not afraid to express knowledge, curiosities, facts, experiments, and personal sentiments in a fifty-page paper. Or longer!
I created a travel blog in 2010, immediately after becoming a flight attendant. Over the next few years, I wrote web content for nonprofits as well as small businesses. I penned more than a dozen internal articles for a major airline. All the while, I continued writing poems, short stories, and novels. In 2020, my debut romance novel, Flight Path, was released. My short story, Six Hours or So, was also published in a charitable anthology. It was a proud moment for me, realizing my childhood dream of becoming a published author.
In 2023, when Mid-Flight was released, I was filled with even more pride and gratitude. Mid-Flight was a hell of a risk for me! This book represented the unknown in every possible way. It was a new genre, tone, and theme. In addition, Mid-Flight conveyed an important societal message. I crossed my fingers, worked as hard as I possibly could to tweak and polish the novel, then held my breath on its release day: March 31, 2023.
So far, the results have been amazing...and very reassuring. Independent Book Review (IBR) referred to my protagonist as a champion for gay rights. I can honestly think of no bigger compliment to an author than calling her characters fierce proponents for positive change.
The vast majority of my author royalties have gone to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm really honored to spread encouragement and hope through my writings while simultaneously applying the profits to a worthy cause! Write all the books, save all the animals-- that's kinda my lifelong motto. And always, always remember what you stand for. Even when the world grows cold or lonely. Even when it looks like you're fighting a losing battle.
Do good, do it often, write about it, and never lose sight of your heart.
While I regularly review books on BookBub, Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble, some of these novels really stood out to me as transformative, engaging, thought-provoking, or all of the above! For this reason, I have set aside space to include excerpts taken from some of the book reviews I've completed over the years. I am always on the hunt for my next book! Reach out if you'd like a review.

A few recent reviews:
-Reach, 04.10.23
Reach is a must-read for visionaries eager to share their ideas with the world. Operating within a saturated market can be a daunting task. Often, it feels utterly impossible to carve out a space for your book, product, or message.
Reach explains how to expand your impact by breaking the process down into four realistic, easy-to-follow categories. These four crucial elements will position a person’s writings for success while simultaneously fostering a sense of inclusion, growth, and compassion.
I loved the author’s emphasis on generosity. This is the crux of all meaningful nonprofit work, of course, but it is also an essential aspect of creativity: if our pieces are created or marketed solely for personal gain, their ability to touch the lives of audience members diminishes. Rapidly.
This book was a reminder of the inspiration we can spread if we remain consistent, focused on the long term, kind to others, and dedicated to a message with value and merit. I loved the relatable snippets, filled with humor and insight, embedded in each chapter. The Lady Gaga reference definitely made me smile. What an incredible source of hope to those of us with bold, beautiful goals.
I’ll be passing this book along to my friends in the industry and anyone interested in leaving a mark on others. The content of this book is immensely helpful to any individual who desires to connect with people on a bigger, deeper level.
-Hide Us Away, 04.28.23
This book has it all: drama, suspense, nostalgia, spicy scenes that crank up the heat, and laugh-out-loud exchanges between friends. Hide Us Away features multi-faceted characters affected—but not defined—by brutal past trauma. Each connection in this book is marked by love and loss, adding to the novel’s realism and relatability. There are no flat characters, nor are there any dull moments. This explains why I finished the novel in one day; I couldn’t put it down.
This book follows an unlikely romance sparked through a series of serendipitous encounters. Along the way, the novel broaches powerful topics like injustice, misplaced guilt, the intense demands of parenthood, and the journey toward healing. Fast-paced, sensual scenes are balanced with heartfelt anecdotes and recollections. I experienced a full range of emotions in each chapter.
The dialogue between Raven and Tessa was a personal favorite. I was captivated by their discourse, brimming with snarky quips and hilarious one-liners. Beneath that playful banter lies an undercurrent of fierce loyalty and mutual appreciation. These women are bonded by hardship and resilience. They share an eternal, unshakeable link, which I found very touching.
Hide Us Away takes an open approach to each character’s sexuality, fostering an environment of inclusion and respect. This is a breath of fresh air for readers who value authenticity, acceptance, and self-awareness. Whether you’re seeking romance, contemporary fiction, literary fiction, or erotica, Hide Us Away will not disappoint. It contains all the elements of a good read, and I look forward to future works by this author.
Flight Path and Mid-Flight both feature dynamic, fearless flight attendants faced with daunting obstacles. Trek around the world and shatter the barriers of time with these free-spirited adventurers!
